E-Myth Mastery
The Seven Essential Disciplines for Building a World Class Company
Michael E. Gerber

I first encountered Michael Gerber many years ago when I started my first business. The E-Myth offered me insight into why I was having so much trouble defining my business vision, and creating the company I truly desired. I realized very quickly that like so many other business owners, I was a “Technician”, good at what I did, but not so good at being the “Manager” within my own company. This summer I was given a copy of The E-Myth Mastery on CD, and I could hardly wait to strap on my portable CD player and listen to the words of wisdom as I power-walked around the lake each morning.

I’ve loved reading about Sarah, and All About Pies. Her story felt like my story. And I was delighted to listen as Michael Gerber re-introduced me to Sarah and her continuing story. As a coach, I often felt there was something missing from the E-Myth saga. I totally “got” the concepts of the three people who run your business. I also understood the concept of making a conscious effort to systemize your company so there is no margin for customer errors.

What was missing was the sense of “Being” - the true feeling of what it is like to begin, nurture, and grow a world class company. In E-Myth Mastery, Michael Gerber gives us what was missing in his first two books - a sense of what it is to “BE” a world class business owner. His focus on vision and passion, rather than mission and purpose, is timely - at least for me, as I embark on taking my company to the next level. His humility in sharing his story, since his last book, The E-Myth Revisited, was heart warming, and I found myself cheering for this man of wisdom and integrity.

Michael Gerber has always been one of my personal role models in my business, and I hope you agree. I highly recommend not only this book (or CD set), but also Michael’s previous works. Happy learning!
